Up to 108 cities representing over 7 million Southern Californians have passed resolutions in support of more inclusive state energy policies that give citizens the right to choose how they want to power their homes and businesses while also protecting the environment. Leaders in those cities oppose proposed regulations that would ban natural gas in favor of all-electric appliances, raising energy costs significantly, particularly for working class Southern Californians. Banning natural and renewable gas would affect 90% of homeowners, renters, thousands of small businesses, and harm manufacturers. Californians need to know their options.
